Idoluwo Ile is one of the earliest pre-dynastic village habited by earlier settlers in Lagos. Alade Oluwo-Nla the Progenitor of the Obanikoro Family as the head of the Ikotun group Founded the Idoluwo Ile area with Ikotun being one of the other settlement in the area.

(For instance, Gbanko was founded by Ladipo, a member of the Alade, a crowned order of chiefs of whom the senior was the first Obanikoro who settled in early Lagos. Tradition has it that Onigbanko received his title from the Obanikoro as the latter was the head of the order of Alade. Ikotun was founded by Benin refugees from Benin colonies near Porto-Novo and the same Ikotun group founded Idoluwo in Lagos. Oluwo Nla, the leader of the group became the first Chief Obanikoro.) Idoluwo -Ile is a village with surrounding farmland south of Agbara and Oto-Awori land via the Ologe Lagoon.
